Do you have needs?
If you are like most people, this world is a complicated, mind-numbing, overly busy place that is spinning out of control.  We begin bright and early on Monday morning and the week flies by with work, family obligations, and every minute is filled.  You spend the weekend just trying to catch your breath.  But what does it all mean and why are we doing it?  Is this all there is?

The answer is No; there is much more to life than just surviving each week.  There is a place where people care about you and your family and present bible lessons each week that are relevant to everyday living.

Are you desperate to reverse the madness and serious enough to make a decision for change?  Here are ten tips to help you in your quest.

10. Decide on the outset to act upon what you discover.
9.  Ask God to reveal Himself to you.
8.  Spend time in nature
7.  Be specific with God.
6.  Join a small group.
5.  Commit to using church services as a tool.
4.  Know your assumptions on what you already believe and keep an open mind.
3.  Spend time exploring a readable translation of the Bible beginning with Luke or John.
2.  Know you personal issues.  Your past can profoundly influence your present ability to be objective.
1.  You don't have to know everything to know something.  So act on what you find.

We've included a couple of scriptures to get you started:
Seek, Find
Jeremiah 29:13
(New International Version, ©2011)
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Ask, Seek, Knock
Matthew 7:7
(New International Version, ©2011)
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

But WAIT!  I can hear you now;   "Why should I believe the Bible?  Anyone can write a book and put anything in it they want."
You're right!  Many people have asked that exact same question.  In fact some notable atheists have set out to prove that the Bible is just a book.  One of them is Lee Strobel.  With a background in law and journalism, Lee decided to prove it once and for all.  We recommend that you read the book, "The Case For Christ".  By the way, we've read it and studied it as well.  Also, if you would like, we'll study it again along side of you.  Just remember Tip # 4 from the list above: "Know your assumptions on what you already believe and keep an open mind."

A historical person along the same lines is Simon GreenleafExcerpt from conservapedia.com: 'Dr. Simon Greenleaf (Dec. 5, 1783 - Oct. 6, 1853) was one of the chief figures in the early days of the Harvard Law School, a legal scholar, and also served as a Royall Professor at Harvard Law School. In addition, Greenleaf was the author of the classic three-volume text, A Treatise on the Law of Evidence (1842) and according to Dr. Wilbur Smith this work "is still considered the greatest single authority on evidence in the entire literature on legal procedure.”' File:27 2blinka fig01f.jpg
